Fire Alarm Systems

A properly installed maintained and monitored fire alarm system provides early detection of fire situations.  Early warning detection leads to evacuation and faster response by emergency personnel and can significantly reduce property loss and damage.  Brothers Security technicians have years of combined experience and continue to be on the cutting edge of today’s technology.  Brothers Security uses the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) Standard 72 – National Fire Alarm Code® as the standard for the application, installation, location, performance, and maintenance of fire alarm systems and its components.

Ensuring that the fire alarm system installed in your building is working properly just makes good sense.  Brothers Security can provide an inspection program custom tailored to your needs.  The facility owner is required to have the detection and alarm system components visually inspected annually, semi-annually, quarterly, or monthly, in accordance with Table 10.3.1 of NFPA 72. More frequent inspections may be required by the local authority having jurisdiction.  Table 10.4.3 of NFPA 72 requires the owner of the facility to have the detection and alarm system components tested annually and semi-annually. The Authority Having Jurisdiction [AHJ] may require more frequent testing if so directed. Based on our experience Brothers Security recommends that the customer have the detection and alarm system tested at least semi-annually (every six months).  Semi-annual and annual inspection and testing procedures may vary slightly according to NFPA and Local requirements.   We perform all the required tests and inspections of your fire alarm components because preventative maintenance can save you thousands of dollars in the long run.  We provide a report that contains all the relevant information for the fire marshal and your insurance company.  Take the worry out of keeping track of schedules.  Let Brothers Security track them for you.

Fire alarm systems consist of different types of devices, which enable fires to be detected at the earliest possible point.  Our alarm personnel can design and install a system specific to your company’s needs.  Our systems meet the requirements of local jurisdictions and the National Fire Protection Associations Pamphlet 72.  A properly installed fire alarm system can be like having a second insurance policy.  The decision you make regarding your fire protection services can mean the difference between an expense or an investment.
